PROGRAM OF WORK – 2007-08

 The Chamber’s “Program of Work” is the blueprint by which the Chamber operates and falls under four strategic areas:  

Economic Development: 

• Assist in providing educational and assistance programs for area businesses. 

• Provide relocation information to potential new residents and businesses.
• Work with local business organizations to enhance their efforts to promote the Angel Fire area.
• Maintain a tourism website to attract visitors to Angel Fire and provide them with information needed to plan and enhance their visit.
• Provide a 24-hour self-serve visitor information center that enhances visits to Angel Fire and provides Chamber members a venue for their brochures.
• Maintain an economic development website providing information needed by potential new businesses (or lenders).

Political Advocate/Government Affairs: 

• Work with the Village of Angel Fire, Association of Commerce and Industry (ACI) and the Tourism Association of New Mexico (TANM) on issues that benefit the Angel Fire Area.
• Provide Chamber members a forum for representing their interests in local, state, and national issues as the need arises.
• Provide a public forum for candidates and issues during elections. 

 Community Involvement: 

·        Promote events happening in the Angel Fire area.

·        Provide a welcome package to new Angel Fire property owners.

·        Recognize individuals and organizations that contribute to the betterment of the community.

Membership Services:

·        Provide members with information from inquiries regarding lodging, recreational, and real estate services (Note:  This is by specific request from the member upon payment of the appropriate fee). 

·        Promote Chamber member businesses via website, brochures, and phone.

·        Promote Chamber member businesses via a variety of social and networking opportunities.
