Los Rios River Runners
800-544-1181, 575-776-8854, fax 751-4471. Los Rios River Runners was founded in 1978 and has led the Santa Fe and Taos field in developing rafting in the gorgeous canyons of northern New Mexico. Taos and Santa Fe rafting season usually runs from March through November, with the fall colors at their most beautiful in late September and early October. We are licensed by the Bureau of Land Management to run the Rio Grande, Rio Chama, and Rio Dolores. Rafting on these Santa Fe and Taos rivers is strictly controlled, with access severely limited in order to preserve the wilderness. We have more permits than any other company. Los Rios provides expert guides to the many great fisheries of northern New Mexico, including high alpine lakes and small mountain streams as well as the mighty Rio Grande itself. We offer float and wade trips for serious fly-fishermen, and a special family program. We’re passionate about fishing, and we’d love to help you teach your kids to fish.
