                                 SUMMERTIME, summertime, summ-summ-summertime!

Escape the city heat and hustle to the mountains of Angel Fire in summer - COOL - Our high temps are in the 70's, humidity in the 20's - can you imagine? Check it out! Paradise found!!!

Go fishing at Eagle Nest or Angel Fire's own Monte Verde Lake. From trophy to pan-size trout - great sport to catch, even better to fry up for the family!

Hiking or mountain biking - rent gear here or bring your own - try trails on the ski mountain (the lift will even carry your bike!) or go for miles on any number of scenic trails in and around our village. Spectacular views of surrounding mountain peaks and valleys.

The Angel Fire Resort also offers tennis and a playground for the kids at Olympic Park. BBQ grills and tables are available for a relaxing mountain picnic!  Paddle boats and row boats can be rented at Monte Verde Lake.
If you are up to the challenge, try your expertise on the climbing wall located at the base of the ski mountain.

Take a scenic chairlift ride to the top of the ski mountain, walk around a bit and ride back down - thrilling and gorgeous - feels like you're flying! (Contact the Angel Fire Resort at 800-633-7463, for specific chairlift dates/times.)

Other summer activities offered locally or nearby are horseback riding, 4-wheeling, and river rafting.

If Mother Nature doesn't fill your days, then join in our summer special events: July - ArtsFest, Mountain Theatre,  Angel Fire Balloon Fest, August/Sept - Music From Angel Fire.
